The Select Manager applications are due Sunday December 28th by 9pm
Select Process: Manager Selection
To be eligible as an Select Manager, a candidate must have coached at least Fall/Spring/All-stars during the 2025 season.
Managers must submit their applications through the MGS online portal. Late applications will not be considered unless there is a shortage of managers in a division.
The Select Committee will review each applicant and relevant information. A candidate must receive majority approval from the Committee, which consists of the President, Vice President, Director of Coaches, Player Agent, Division Commissioner, and Select Coordinator. The Secretary will attend but will not participate in voting. In the event of a conflict of interest, committee members will be replaced by alternate board members.
If there is more than one applicant per division, the Committee will conduct interviews to evaluate candidates and determine the best fit. Based on USA Softball Yellowbook, if necessary, Manager interviews will take place on January 3rd. Managers will be ranked based on this evaluation, with the Secretary maintaining the ranking.
The final selection of the Select Manager will be chosen on January 4th.
I understand that completing an Select Manager Application with MGS does not guarantee me a Manager position. I agree to abide by the selection process and if selected, agree to represent MGS in the best possible manner and in the interest of MGS and the players. Additionally, I plan to be at all Select events both locally and out of the county. I further agree to have my assistant coaches names submitted for the Select Committee prior to having them participate in practice or games.
